What sustainability goals should the c-suite be tracked against?

  • Date: 28th October

  • Length: 1 hour

Tying executive compensation to ESG goals is an evolving topic for modern businesses. In January 2021, Apple declared it will incorporate ESG metrics into the annual cash incentives for its executive team, with bonus pay-outs increasing or decreasing by up to 10 percent. But what metrics should businesses be using to link c-suite compensation to sustainability? And what is the process for getting them approved? In this insight call, we will look at how organisations are approaching the topic.

Participants should each come prepared to answer the following questions. If you feel unable to, please provide a perspective from your respective function:

  • Does your company currently link executive compensation to ESG metrics?
  • If yes, what metrics are used? If no, what are the main obstacles to doing so?
  • How do you see the topic evolving at your company? Will more ESG metrics be added to executive cash incentives in the future?
