Educating consumers to reduce downstream sustainability impacts

For many organisations, consumers represent the largest and most complicated area to reduce their environmental footprint. Doing so requires that the business not only change how it develops its products, but also how its consumers use them. In this roundtable, participants will discuss how they are addressing this topic and educating consumers to use their products more sustainably.

Participants should each come prepared to answer the following questions. If you feel unable to, please provide a perspective from your respective function:

  • How would you describe your organisation’s approach to improving consumer sustainability?
  • How is your organisation helping educate its consumers to use your products more sustainably?
  • How are different functions within your organisation collaborating together to improve consumer sustainability? For example, corporate sustainability, marketing, communications, R&D.
